HSM (Hickory Springs Manufacturing) Company seeks a skilled Tool & Die Technician to design, repair, and maintain stamping dies and tooling. You will set up manual and CNC machines and troubleshoot production tooling to minimize downtime. Read blueprints and inspect components with precision instruments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training in Tool & Die preferred.
• Strong experience with stamping dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and metalworking techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency operating manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, repair, and maintain stamping dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, Bridgeport mills, drill presses, grinders, and saws.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
• Partner with Production and Maintenance teams to improve tooling performance and manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and modification records.
• Mentor Tool & Die trainees or apprentices as needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and 5S standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
