Job summary

Welser Profile North America is seeking a skilled Tooling Machinist to build, maintain, and repair dies and tooling for production. You will machine tooling components with manual and CNC equipment, set up mills and lathes, and inspect parts for quality.

You should read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and work closely with operators to resolve technical issues while adhering to safety and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Read blueprints, technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong machining, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, CAD and GD&T.
• Understanding of heat treating, sensors and tooling applications.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair dies, tooling, and components to support production.
• Machine tooling components using manual and CNC equipment.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and wire EDM equipment.
• Install, adjust, and troubleshoot dies and tooling in production presses.
• Inspect tooling for wear, functionality, and quality requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and tooling improvements.
• Support operators and setup personnel with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain required documentation and participate in 5S activities.
• Follow all quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
