Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years' MD/VA/DC title review experience.
Familiar with title insurance commitments, policy formats and procedures for abstracting and title examinations.
Foreclosure processes and related legal documents knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze Title Reports and summarize items required to clear for MD, DC and VA.
Review to confirm that the legal description is valid.
Verify parties in the chain of title to determine vesting deed accuracy.
Determine conditions to obtain clear title through foreclosure or other conveyance.
Examine deeds, liens, judgments, easements, plats and maps for title verification.
Prepare documentation of review and transmit with requirements to clear title to Vendors and Clients.
Initiate and follow-up on title-issue resolution with Vendors, Attorneys and Clients.
Update internal systems and client systems.
