Job summary

Wabash in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Electrician-like role focused on finishing metal components for tanks and bottles. You will inspect welds, work in confined spaces, and operate grinders, welders, and cranes to achieve precise finishes while following strict safety practices.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, grinding welds, and coordinating with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Physical dexterity and ability to work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to cooperate with co-workers and be part of a production team.
• Proficient and safe use of small shop machinery and hand tools.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading/writing and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for safe operation and complete preventive maintenance checks.
• Examine all surface areas and welds to detect defects.
• Set up, adjust and operate equipment to produce parts.
• Grind, deburr and finish welds on tanks and components.
• Stone grind, peen, belt, and blend seams on interior surfaces.
• Wear PPE and follow safety policies; may flex into other departments.
• Maintain production quality and safe work practices.
