Job summary

UPG Electrical is seeking a Stamping Operator in Wisconsin to safely run stamping presses, load metal coils, and ensure parts meet spec. You will perform quality checks, document production data, and support Kaizen improvements in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
• Experience in stamping/manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, loads, and basic blueprints.
• Comfort with ERP to retrieve documents and enter data.
• Learn press operations and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable, team oriented.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; 70+ lbs with assistance.
• Forklift knowledge or certification is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and unload metal coils through progressive dies with proper labeling.
• Align parts between dies to ensure stamping and quality output.
• Perform routine quality checks with gauges and calipers to verify specs.
• Complete production documentation including job cards and ERP entries.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
• Remove scrap and dispose of materials in designated containers.
• Maintain 5S clean and safe work environment per standards.
• Follow SOPs and operator instructions for consistent production.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and kaizen events.
• Assist maintenance or setup during changeovers and troubleshooting.
• Uphold quality accountability and contain nonconforming product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
