J&M Products, Inc. seeks a dedicated press operator to set up and run stamping presses, performing first-piece inspections and ensuring parts meet drawings and specs. You will work with dies, fixtures, and tooling, maintaining safe operation and quality control.

Responsibilities include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, recording production data, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of stamping press operation and basic metal-forming, punching, sizing, or related manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, routings, setup sheets, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of press tooling, dies, fixtures, part orientation, and basic setup practices.
• Understanding of point-of-operation hazards, machine guarding, safeguarding devices, and safe press operation.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gages, templates, and basic inspection equipment.
• Ability to recognize dimensional, forming, cracking, burr, alignment, and cosmetic defects.

Responsabilités

• Sets up and operates presses and associated tooling to form, punch, size, or process clamp components.
• Reads and follows engineering drawings, routings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Loads and positions material in dies and fixtures; removes completed parts using safe handling practices.
• Inspects first-piece and in-process parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Monitors operation, quality, tooling condition, and material flow; reports issues.
