Job summary

Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a hands-on manufacturing operator to work on a range of finishing and secondary operations, including bending, trimming, hand-winding, and punch press work. You will use basic measuring tools to verify specifications and help ensure quality while following job travelers and customer requirements.

Full-time positions available on 1st and 2nd shifts. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and dependable attendance in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out finishing and secondary operations: bending, trimming, hand-winding, punch press work, and pre-setting.

• Inspect parts for proper bends, hooks, welds, dimensions, and overall quality.
• Use basic measuring and inspection tools to verify specifications.
• Follow job travelers, work instructions, and customer requirements precisely.
• Count parts carefully and complete required production reporting.
• Spot potential defects and promptly inform your supervisor or the Quality team.
• Adhere to all company safety practices and PPE expectations.

Picture the start of your shift at Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc.: you grab a job traveler, set up a simple fixture, and get hands‑on with small metal parts and springs. You bend and trim with care, hand‑wind when needed, run a punch press for a short operation, and pre‑set parts so they perform the way customers expect. Throughout the day, you double‑check bends, hooks, welds, and dimensions with basic gauges and measuring tools, count your output accurately, and record it. If something looks off, you flag it to your supervisor or the Quality team right away. And you do it all while following PPE and safety procedures.
