Job summary

PLANIT Group is looking for an SMT Assembly Technician based in New York. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a high-mix, high-volume production environment. Proficiency with automated pick and place equipment and understanding of various SMT component families is essential.

Both a high school diploma and a technical degree in electronics are preferred. The position offers some flexibility for remote work. Candidates must not be agencies or C2C.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on SMT assembly in a high‑mix, high‑volume production environment.
• Proficient with automated pick and place equipment (setup, calibration, troubleshooting).
• Strong understanding of SMT component families (0201 1206, QFN, BGA, CSP, FCBGA).
• Ability to use microscopes, AOI, SPI, and visual inspection techniques to identify and document defects.
