Job summary

Latitudeinc is seeking a Slitter Operator to oversee slitting/rewinding, inspection, and data collection for finished goods. You will help ensure quality and timely production in a manufacturing setting in the Baltimore area.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate data entry, equipment setup, and adherence to customer specifications, with collaboration across Scheduling and finishing teams to meet delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or finishing environments is a plus.
• Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to operate and understand finishing equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily activities are conducted safely and properly.
• Set up equipment based on job specifications to meet requirements of the finished label.
• Monitor and maintain quality inventory of knives and spacers; notify supervisor if repair is needed.
• Perform quality checks prior to production and monitor print quality during production.
• Label products according to customer specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with Scheduling to track daily jobs and verify quantities completed.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and assist with inventory management.
• Enter data accurately into the management information system and approved forms.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and routine daily tasks as required.
• Develop positive employee relations and communicate with supervisors and managers.
