The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior corrugated industry experience. Lift Truck license may be required; strong math and measurement skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
• Ability to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
• Basic high school math concepts application.

Responsibilities

• Enter information into computers to set machine for order changes, scores, speed, stack height, sheet count, and number of outs.
• Verify accuracy of information in computer.
• Execute order changes.
• Cross check board with corrugator lineup or order display for proper board test, size, scores, depth, color, and coating.
• Visually inspect board for quality issues such as cracks, loose edges, oil, wrinkles, warp, and slits.
• Set slitter to prepare the next run and avoid overruns/underruns.
• Set up tear-tape and preprint as needed.
• Communicate adjustments to the wet end.
• Clear jams safely and assist in repairs when needed.
