Job summary

Ideal candidates have experience with skid steers or mini excavators, read blueprints, and communicate clearly with crew. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and pass safety checks is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience operating skid steer loaders and/or mini excavators preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for small/medium heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and site instructions.
• Strong physical stamina for extended equipment operation.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to work weekends/overtime.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer loaders and mini excavators for excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling.
• Follow blueprints, site plans, and project specs for accurate work.
• Perform daily safety checks and basic equipment maintenance.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
• Clear debris and prepare work areas.
• Work safely per OSHA and company policies, wearing PPE.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew, report hazards.
• Keep work area clean and store equipment properly.
