Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (Spirit Defense) seeks skilled sealant technicians to apply sealing compounds, follow blueprints and specifications, and ensure quality in major assemblies and fuel cell components. You will support production, train teammates, and maintain safety standards on site.

Position requires ability to obtain U.S. security clearance, willingness to work first and second shifts, and readiness for manual, precise work in a defense manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship
• Eligible to apply for, obtain, and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Willing and able to work 1st and 2nd shifts
• Willing to work any shift, including weekends
• Ability to work on concrete floors, uneven surfaces, and in confined spaces, and climb stairs/scaffolding

Responsibilities

• Seal, fillet and seal for major assemblies per drawings and specs.
• Assist in training and coaching employees to maintain flow.
• Complete required data gathering transactions for sealer progression.
• Perform pickup, rework, fabrication or checks during seal progression.
• Use measuring instruments to accomplish tasks.
• Document discrepancies per specification and procedure.
• Support continuous product flow in manufacturing.
