Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division seeks a Screw Machine Operator - 1st Shift in Syracuse, NY. Core hours are 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Hourly rate is $22.52, with salary guidelines reflecting skills and market considerations.

You will perform threading, grooving, turning, drilling, and related operations on conventional machines; inspect first pieces and maintain safe, clean work areas. Requires 1 year machining experience and a high school diploma or GED; no sponsorship or relocation benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in machining operations.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• No immigration sponsorship or support for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B etc.
• No relocation benefit; Syracuse NY area within 50 miles only.

Responsibilities

• Perform threading, grooving, chamfering, turning, tapping, reaming, serrating, boring, facing, drilling and similar operations on conventional machines.
• Produce parts from various materials and maintain specified dimensions through tooling adjustments.
• Inspect first pieces and verify machine setup before release to operators; operate levers and controls safely.
• Adhere to machine safety procedures and TPM activities including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening of bolts.
• Load castings and bar stock; wash and pack plated parts; use measuring instruments to verify accuracy.
