Job summary

GE Vernova Erlanger Service Center in Kentucky is hiring a Saw Operator/Material Handler to set up and operate Marvel saw and ring saw, unload materials, and move parts between work centers. This is a 1st shift, on-site role with occasional OT, located at the Erlanger, KY facility.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of heavy industrial manufacturing experience. Strong blueprint reading, radius layout, metrology knowledge, and math skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of saw, press break, machining, or welding experience in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Blueprint reading proficiency and measurement interpretation required.
• Ability to lay out holes on a radius and use metrology tools.
• Strong math skills for precise dimensioning and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Sets-up and operate Marvel saw and ring saw.
• Unload raw material and place in labeled racks.
• Move materials to next work center after completing jobs.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and bevellers.
• Basic blueprint reading to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• De-burr, grind and finish with hand tools or power equipment.
• Produce high quality work with tight tolerances per drawings.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and perform preventive maintenance.
