Job summary

Hydrasearch in Stevensville, MD is seeking a Saw Operator to operate band and cold saws, cut materials per work orders, and inspect finished pieces for accuracy.

Work hours 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday; hourly rate $17-$20. Experience reading blueprints, using calipers, and handling forklift. Company values veterans.

You will maintain safety, document inventory in ERP/MRP, and ensure traceability and compliance with ISO/AS9100 in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proven ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work orders.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers.
• Basic computer literacy for entering inventory transactions and data entry.
• 1–3 years of experience operating industrial saws or similar metal-fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate band and cold saws to cut material per work orders; measure and inspect finished cuts for dimensional accuracy.
• Verify material type, size, and heat/lot traceability before and after cutting; maintain proper labeling throughout the process.
• Manage stock levels of bar, pipe, and tube; track usage and remnants in ERP/MRP system.
• Operate forklifts to load/unload deliveries and stage material for production.
• Perform routine machine maintenance including blade changes and coolant management.
• Follow all safety protocols and support quality teams with first-piece verification.
