Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman papers in General Machining or Tool & Die trades.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate test equipment and maintain records.
• Repair roll grinding machines and equipment.
• Mount and install grinding wheels on machines.
• Operate cranes to move rolls and assemblies as needed.
• Rough turn and finish grind rolls to spec.
• Inspect roll surface and dimensions with measuring tools.
• Read sketches/blueprints in metric and imperial units.
• Maintain and troubleshoot roll grinding machines.
