Job summary

Husky Technologies is seeking an Assembly Technician (Refurbishment) in Milton, VT. You will inspect, repair, rebuild and test customer-owned hot runner systems used in injection molding, following drawings and procedures to return equipment to peak condition.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read mechanical drawings. You will work in a climate-controlled facility with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication, organization and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Understand, write and speak basic and technical English.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble, inspect and evaluate hot runner systems and components received from customers.
  • Document inspection findings and identify components requiring repair, replacement, refurbishment or rework.
  • Clean, repair, rebuild and reassemble mechanical components according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
  • Install, fit and adjust components to ensure proper fit, form and function.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools and fixtures safely and effectively.
  • Perform product testing, inspections and heat testing to verify quality and performance.
  • Identify equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Complete production, inspection and quality documentation accurately.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and safe condition.
  • Communicate quality, tooling, repair or assembly concerns to supervisors and team members.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production, quality and delivery objectives.
