Job summary

SEGULA Technologies seeks a detail-oriented Mechanical Disassembly Technician to tear down train cars and passenger rail vehicles per project specs. You will systematically dismantle components, preserve high-value parts, and safely remove fasteners using a range of hand and power tools.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, precise handling, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced industrial setting. Training and safety practices are emphasized as you support multi-zone vehicle setups.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with power/hand tool use.
  • Experience in disassembly or maintenance environments.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
  • Knowledge of fasteners and proper removal tooling.
  • Ability to work safely in shared industrial spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tear-down and dismantling of train cars and rail vehicles per specs.
  • Systematically remove components while preserving reusable parts.
  • Remove fasteners and rivets using appropriate tools.
  • Manage wiring harnesses and cable bundles carefully.
  • Report damaged components and unusual conditions to leads.
  • Sort components for retention, QA, or scrapping per guidelines.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and collaborate with team.
