Job summary

IES in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure products meet engineering, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will read drawings, SOPs, and work instructions and perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

This hourly, 2nd shift role supports continuous improvement and documents results using approved forms and systems, while collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Ability to document inspection results accurately and maintain records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, SOPs, and work instructions to understand product requirements
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections to verify conformance to engineering and quality standards
• Use appropriate inspection and measurement tools, including tape measures, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, and other required equipment
• Accurately document inspection and test results on approved forms and systems
• Photograph accepted product conditions and store images in designated directories
• Scan, upload, and maintain inspection and testing records in electronic file systems
• Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs); clearly identify and tag nonconforming or suspect material until dispositioned
• Verify corrective actions have been implemented and confirm product compliance after rework or repair
• Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality team members
• Assist with timely resolution of quality issues and support root cause and corrective action activities as requested
• Coach and support production team members on quality standards and inspection requirements when needed
• Support the Quality Engineer and Quality Manager with daily tasks, audits, investigations, and special projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant inspection area
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager
