Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Quality Inspector in Kentwood, MI to perform product and material testing, inspections, and data collection. The role supports CAPA, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives within a medical device manufacturing environment.

The position is a first-shift, with hours from 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, paying $18.00–$20.00 per hour and offering a strong healthcare plan and people-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must be self-directed and able to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Experience with quality tools including calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic Microsoft Office experience is necessary.
• High School Diploma or GED and pass a national background check.
• Minimum of one year of work experience.
• Able to lift, push, and pull 20 pounds.
• Quality inspection, fine motor skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform product / material testing and inspections
• Contribute support for CAPA activities
• Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects
• Perform testing, gather and record data, analyze results, and report product and in-process monitoring test results
• Assist during audit activities. Assist with calibration and maintenance activities.
• Create and maintain data files and forms
• Initiate and assist in the investigation and disposition of nonconforming materials
• Review device history records (DHR) and acceptance records to ensure all quality assurance activities have been performed and approved
• Update databases and spreadsheets used to track, monitor, and report department activities. Communicate with a wide variety of personnel in and across Manufacturing and Quality Teams
