Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspection Specialist to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of products in a manufacturing environment. You will perform inspections of incoming materials and production items, document results, and help maintain quality records within the QMS.

The role requires reading drawings, applying GD&T, and using tools like PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and First Article Inspection. Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience performing quality inspections within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and inspection documentation practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T principles.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as PFMEA, MSA, SPC, capability analysis, or First Article Inspection.
• Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification or equivalent quality improvement training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of incoming materials, components, and production items using established procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing activities.
• Record inspection results accurately within quality systems and ERP platforms.
• Label compliant components and sub-assemblies for traceability.
• Identify, document, and communicate non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.
• Support non-conformance management processes and material segregation activities.
• Maintain organized inspection records and quality documentation within the QMS.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, risk reduction, and quality enhancement initiatives.
