Job summary

Cleveland Gear / Hellan Strainer in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured components, document results, and support operations with GD&T knowledge and precision measurement.

You will operate CMM programs, use micrometers and calipers, interpret drawings, prepare inspection reports, and ensure calibration of gages. First shift with overtime as needed in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year vocational/technical program completed in a relevant field.
• Five years of general inspection experience including CMM operation.
• Strong math, GD&T, and measurement interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, first-piece, in-process, final, layout, and first-article inspections per drawings and plans.
• Operate CMM equipment using approved programs, including setup and report review.
• Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming products; maintain quality records.
• Provide shop-floor inspection support and calibration checks on gages and fixtures.
