Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. in Montville, NJ is seeking a Quality Specialist - Final Inspection to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies. You will read blueprints, use CMMs and gauges, and report results to customers with shipment documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–5 years’ experience in test and inspection in manufacturing with tight tolerances.
• ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge; familiar with AQL and traceability.
• Strong verbal/written communication and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products using gauges, CMM, scales, and vision systems prior to shipment.
• Perform inspections with calipers and laser scanners and document results.
• Assess received, WIP and finished goods for quality and conformance.
• Create defect notes for unacceptable products and maintain quality records.
• Generate data spreadsheets and reconcile inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering and production to resolve issues.
