Job summary

Walter Tools is seeking a Quality Engineer at our Greer, South Carolina production facility. This hands-on role focuses on inspection, nonconformance investigations, corrective action, and process improvements on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in precision manufacturing quality, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with Quality, Operations and Engineering. An ISO 9001 background and ERP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years in manufacturing quality in a precision machining environment.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and cost.
• Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify conformance.
• Support ISO 9001 documentation, audits, and process improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen tools.
• Monitor quality KPIs and supplier quality; participate in NPI and transfers as needed.
