Job summary

Surge Staffing in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Auditor to join our fabrication and welding team. You will inspect welded and fabricated products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications, interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring tools.

The ideal candidate has experience in metal fabrication, can read fabrication and welding blueprints, and is capable of reading a tape measure to 1/32 inch and converting measurements to decimals.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection, preferably in metal fabrication or welding.
• Ability to evaluate and grade weld quality.
• Proficient in reading fabrication and welding blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" and convert measurements to decimals.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication and welding blueprints.
• Inspect welds and fabricated products for quality and compliance.
• Identify and reject non-conforming products.
• Complete quality inspection documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for correct quantities and part numbers.
• Use measuring equipment including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
