Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a QC Inspector to perform visual inspection of finished parts and verify conformance to specifications. You will interpret drawings, ensure traceability, and generate compliance documents in support of essential defense and public-safety missions.

The role emphasizes precise measurement, data collection for final inspection reports, and adherence to work instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing in-process and final inspection in defense, automotive or aerospace.
• Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools.
• Includes weight gage, micrometer, caliper, gage blocks, thread gages and torque drivers.
• Visual inspection experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Independent; can work with limited supervision and direction.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished good parts for compliance to specification.
• Review Bill of Materials for completeness and accuracy including accessories and spare parts sales orders.
• Review completeness of packing lists.
• Ensure packaging is adequate.
• Sign-off Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) reports.
• Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs).
• Complete Discrepant Material Report (DMR) forms for rejected parts.
• Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents.
• Verify product identification and traceability.
• Generate Certificate of Compliance.
