Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense seeks a QC Inspector to join the Quality Department, performing visual inspection of finished parts and ensuring conformance to specifications using calibrated measuring equipment.

The role involves interpreting drawings, completing documentation, and generating Certificates of Compliance, with responsibilities including data collection for FIRs and handling DMRs under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience performing in-process and final inspection, preferably in a defense, automotive or aerospace business.
• Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper, and gage blocks.
• Visual inspection experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Independent; can work with limited supervision and direction.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished good parts for compliance to specification.
• Review Bill of Materials for completeness and accuracy including accessories and spare parts sales orders
• Review completeness of packing lists
• Ensure packaging is adequate Review.
• Sign-off Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) reports
• Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)
• Complete Discrepant Material Report (DMR) forms for rejected parts.
• Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Verify product identification and traceability.
• Visual inspection of finished parts
• Generate Certificate of Compliance
