Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Parsippany, NJ to ensure machined parts meet specifications. The role requires reading inspection instructions, measuring with precision tools, performing X-ray inspections, and completing reports.

The position supports second shift and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with overtime as needed. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience in machine operation or quality, along with

Qualifications

High School Diploma required with manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret written inspection instructions and customer specifications.
Must be able to use precision measuring instruments and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

Inspect machined parts for conformance to specifications.
Interpret and follow inspection instructions, quality requirements and customer specs.
Measure dimensions using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparators, and X-ray equipment.
Locate reference points and measure angles, radii, and distances with precision aids.
Perform X-ray inspections on incoming and in-process parts.
Complete inspection forms and reports; inspect first article, in-process and final parts.
Conduct airflow tests and final inspections; perform related duties as assigned.
