Job summary

IQ Resource Group is seeking a mechanically inclined Press Technician for a local manufacturing company in Manitowoc, WI. This role involves operating large stamping presses, inspecting parts, and ensuring quality while following safety guidelines.

You will perform mechanical adjustments, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues. The job requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Positive attitude, dependable work habits, and good communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate large stamping presses while following production procedures and safety guidelines.
• Inspect products for defects and verify quality using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
• Make mechanical adjustments, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Use production software to record information and monitor manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
• Work independently and with team members to maintain production flow and meet quality standards.
