Job summary

Urbane Cafe is seeking detail-oriented Prep Cooks to be the backbone of the kitchen. You’ll prep ingredients for salads, sandwiches and bowls, follow recipes, keep stations stocked and maintain food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with team and ability to stand for extended periods
• Able to work in a standing position for extended periods
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Prep and maintain the quantities of ingredients needed for our salads, sandwiches and bowls
• Chop, slice, portion and prep with consistency and attention to detail
• Follow recipes and prep lists to keep the kitchen stocked and ready for service
• Keep your workspace clean, organized and up to food safety standards at all times
• Communicate with the team to anticipate needs and stay ahead of the rush
• Jump in wherever the kitchen needs you
