Job summary

Teledyne Relays is seeking a Plating Technician to maintain production requirements and ensure quality standards. You will perform plating and cleaning operations, maintain chemical baths, and follow strict safety protocols.

You will use micrometers and microscopes to measure components and document results, while maintaining logs and adhering to safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using micrometers, microscopes, and basic computer applications.
• Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) (required).

Responsibilities

• Plate and clean components per process specifications, including degreasing and header, cover, and diode cleaning lines.
• Prepare acid and alkaline solutions and maintain rinse waters daily.
• Monitor and maintain process bath levels while adhering to safety procedures.
• Perform housekeeping and administrative tasks, including maintaining logs for temperature, filter, and chemical usage.
• Report issues to the process control lab and supervisor.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality and customer specifications.
• Use micrometers, microscopes, and computers for measurements and documentation.
• Perform equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean.
