Job summary

J &O Plastics seeks a hands-on Plastic Injection Mold Repair Technician/Mold Maker to repair and maintain plastic injection molds. You will perform grinding, polishing, and precision fitting, document repair activities, and uphold safety and quality standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role requires at least three years of mold tooling experience and a strong mechanical aptitude, with reporting to the Tooling Manager. Training available for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of mold tooling experience; willing to train if strong mechanical background.
• Ability to use hand tools to adjust equipment.

Responsibilities

• Polish molds to a A2 (Grade A) finish.
• Assemble plastic injection molds.
• Troubleshoot and repair hot runner systems.
• General machine work: Lathe.
• General machine work: Surface grinder.
• Welding helpful but not necessary: Tig.
• Welding: Mig.
• Laser.
• General maintenance and repairs of plastic injection molds.
