Harris American in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Burn Table Operator to set up and run plasma cutting operations. You will read blueprints, adjust machine settings, and ensure precise cuts on steel components while maintaining equipment and safety.

This role requires knowledge of cutting techniques, materials, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of CNC/plasma table experience, can read drawings, interpret specifications, and work with ProNest or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of CNC machining or Plasma Table experience.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate Plasma Table for cutting steel plates and related tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders.
• Translate instructions into machine commands using ProNest/AutoCAD.
• Load raw materials and parts onto machines.
• Perform test runs to verify machine output matches specs.
• Inspect finished products with precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Maintain records of production and machine settings.
• Follow safety protocols and keep work area clean.
• Assist in cross-training employees.
• Monitor machine operations and perform routine maintenance.
• Handle gas supplies safely.
• Other duties as assigned.
