Job summary

Summit Truck Bodies, LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube truck bodies, is expanding its workforce to meet rising sales. The Collision Repair and Refinish Technician will prepare bodies and components for painting, sanding and masking as part of a team that emphasizes safety and quality.

The role requires reading work orders and blueprints, using hand and power tools, and applying bondo/seam sealer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with good MVR.
• Experience in paint, collision repair or related field.
• Some technical training is helpful.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Read gauges, measurement tools, blueprints and work orders.
• Keen attention to detail is required.
• Must complete a general abilities assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying work orders, BOMs and blueprints.
• Sand, mask and prep bodies and parts before paintwork.
• Apply bondo/seam sealer and prep for finishing and sanding.
• Wet sand and polish custom-colored bodies and doors.
• Dispose of hazardous waste per federal/state laws.
• Wear PPE and follow health and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Support continuous improvement programs and show initiative.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
