Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking a Packing Operator to join its western Massachusetts manufacturing team.

The role involves operating automated and semi-automated packing equipment, hand-packing when required, and meeting Kanban requirements to ensure timely, accurate packaging of parts. You will set up machines, adjust tooling, monitor performance, and maintain a clean, safe work area while contributing to a culture of safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, quality specifications, and other related documents.
• Good written and verbal communication, and basic math skills.
• Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills.
• Ability to contribute as part of a team.
• Positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees.
• Set up the machine, observe machine operation, and ensure the product is packed according to specifications.
• Adjust specified tooling and set packing speeds and feed rates.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections as required.
• Observe all safety rules.
• Assist other Packing Operators with the machine set up, and stacking, marking, packing, and transporting the packed product.
• Maintain a neat and well-organized work area.
• Ability to contribute as part of a team.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
