Job summary

HarbisonWalker International in Michigan is seeking a dependable packaging associate to support finished goods packaging and labeling in our Michigan facility. You will follow work instructions, inspect for defects, and ensure accurate records while preserving safety standards.

Work with production and shipping teams to meet daily objectives, maintain 5S standards, and report quality concerns promptly. Previous packaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products according to established work instructions, customer requirements, and quality standards.
• Inspect products and packaging materials for defects or damage and report quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Properly label, identify, and prepare finished products for storage or shipment.
• Operate packaging equipment and other production tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate production and packaging records as required.
• Monitor packaging materials and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and 5S standards.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate production, equipment, and quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Work with other production and shipping employees to support daily operational needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
