Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented Packer to inspect and package plastic products for shipment. This full-time role offers competitive benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for growth within a North American manufacturing leader.

You will work on a fast-paced line, handle data entry, and help ensure quality standards are met. Prior packaging experience is preferred; strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred.
• Attention to detail to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.
