Job summary

The Optical Society of Southern California is hiring an Optical Coating Technician for the 2nd shift in Irvine, California. The candidate will setup and operate vacuum chambers for thin film coatings while documenting process parameters and ensuring quality through inspections. Qualifications

• Must be a US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15.
• Ability to follow and execute detailed written procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate vacuum chambers for thin film coatings.
• Document operational parameters of production equipment.
• Perform visual inspection of optical surfaces before and after coating.
• Make Pass/Fail disposition of as-built performance.
