Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is seeking an Automated Long Arm Sewing Machine Operator to set up and run automated long arm sewing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. You will monitor runs, ensure quality, and coordinate with leads, quality and maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires attention to detail, reliable teamwork, and the ability to perform changeovers and adjustments. Safety procedures and proper PPE are mandatory, with potential OT during peak seasons.

• Strong verbal and written communication; able to document and track materials.
• High accuracy and attention to detail to maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated long arm sewing machines.
• Set up machine, monitor production runs and ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate with leads, quality, and maintenance for material validation and machine performance.
• Maintain organization of cushions and ensure correct changeovers with shells and poly.
• Perform routine changeovers including bobbin, thread, and recipe adjustments.
• Support other production tasks to help meet goals.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; report safety concerns.
