Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services seeks a highly experienced Precision Oncology Subject Matter Expert to support a national federal precision medicine initiative focused on molecular testing, precision oncology, and cancer care.

The role requires translating evidence into practical clinical and programmatic guidance, applying NCCN guidelines, reviewing biomarkers and assay platforms, and collaborating with clinicians, administrators, and federal leaders to advance standardized molecular testing across

Qualifications

• MD or PhD in Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, Molecular Pathology, Genetics, Immunology, or related field.
• Expertise in oncology, precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, and cancer genetics.
• Strong knowledge of NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines and oncology care pathways.
• Experience translating evidence into clinical practice, policy, or program guidance.
• Expertise in hematologic malignancies and molecular testing applications.
• Knowledge of molecular assay platforms and testing methodologies.
• Experience developing or advising on molecular testing guidance and recommendations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME expertise in oncology, precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, and cancer genetics.
• Translate emerging scientific evidence into actionable clinical or programmatic guidance.
• Apply NCCN guidelines to support clinical decision-making.
• Review and advise on molecular testing strategies, biomarkers, and assay platforms.
• Develop or provide guidance on molecular testing recommendations across cancer types.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support precision oncology initiatives.
• Communicate complex concepts to clinicians, administrators, and leadership.
• Support enterprise-wide standardization of molecular testing practices.
