Job summary

Accelera is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our production team in Champaign, IL. You will transform raw materials into finished goods using MIG welding, precise fabrication, and strict adherence to blueprints and welding symbols.

You will ensure quality through inspections, maintain safe and efficient workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teammates. Robotic welding experience and the ability to set up production independently are advantageous.

Qualifications

• MIG welding and metal fabrication experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and technical schematics.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and welding best practices.
• Ability to handle heavy materials and operate industrial equipment safely.
• Certification or vocational training in welding technology preferred.
• Experience with robotic welding cells preferred.
• Ability to set up production independently while maintaining high output quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision MIG welding tasks across a variety of metal gauges to meet rigorous project specifications.
• Translate complex technical drawings and blueprints into accurate physical components.
• Drive product excellence by performing thorough quality assurance inspections on all completed fabrications.
• Optimize production workflows by maintaining an orderly, hazard-free workspace that prioritizes safety.
• Partner with cross-functional team members to proactively identify and resolve fabrication challenges.
• Ensure peak operational efficiency by performing routine maintenance and calibration on welding machinery, including robotic systems.
