Job summary

TICO Manufacturing is seeking a Welder to perform MIG welding tasks essential to building terminal tractors. You will read blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure weld quality meets engineering specs.

We value safety, precision, and teamwork. Experience in manufacturing and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required; AWS certification is desirable but not mandatory if you pass the qualification assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• AWS certification is desirable but contingent on passing the weld test.

Responsibilities

• Weld using MIG process on steel and aluminum components for terminal tractors.
• Interpret blueprints and welding specs to perform tasks accurately.
• Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding equipment for precision work.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and beveling as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and keep work area clean and organized.
• Document welding activities and progress per procedures.
