Job summary

IKG Corp. is seeking a production/assembly technician to assist in set-ups, monitor coil feed, and load slit coil for welding operations on the production floor in Garrett, Indiana. You will work with fork trucks and coil handling equipment to move material and ensure quality finish.

The role requires reading and following technical instructions, basic math, and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment. Prior welding exposure is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school preferred: Welding; manufacturing or related.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator in making set-ups as required.
• Monitor coil feed process and advise Operator of malfunctions.
• Load slit coil using fork trucks and coil grippers.
• Unload finished grating pieces and move to staging areas.
• Perform minor maintenance and report equipment malfunctions.
• Keep work area neat and orderly; restock coils as needed.
• Perform safety practices and follow all safety rules.
