Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for our Illinois manufacturing facility. The role focuses on assembling metal enclosures with precision, using power tools, reading blueprints, and following strict quality procedures.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for long shifts. Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus, with drug screening and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mechanical Assembler.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with procedures.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated metal enclosures with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; efficiently repair and rework assemblies as needed.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, and instruments required for assembly operations.
• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, tape measures (SAE and metric), and other written instructions or procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in accordance with established inspection and quality procedures.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards and meeting on-time delivery requirements.
• Provide support across all areas of the production floor as required.
