Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking an entry-level mechanical assembler to perform basic assembly of production units under supervision. Read blueprints and specifications, assemble sections, attach units to frames, and use hand and power tools to meet tolerances.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret basic blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
• Assist with or assemble basic sections of machines to customer specifications; attach unit to assembly, subassembly or frame using various hand and power tools.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly operations to exacting tolerances; position and align parts using fixtures, jigs and templates.
