Job summary

Art’s Way Manufacturing in Armstrong, IA is seeking an assembler to read blueprints, assemble components, and follow work instructions to meet production standards. You will use hand and power tools and inspect finished parts to ensure quality in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace, document production steps, and adhere to safety protocols with PPE. Training is provided for equipment operation and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or mechanical assembly preferred but not required.
• Basic math and ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions with training provided.
• Ability to measure accurately and use measuring tools.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to complete required training for equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble products.
• Assemble, position, align, and secure components using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and other equipment.
• Verify necessary parts and materials meet specifications before starting assembly.
• Inspect assemblies for fit, function, and quality; report defects.
• Complete production documentation and inspection sheets accurately.
• Operate material-handling equipment as needed, following training.
• Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and report problems to supervisor.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Follow production procedures, quality standards, and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with team to maintain production flow and meet goals.
