Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly operations according to blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Assemble mechanical components, parts, and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Determine and follow the proper sequence of operations for assigned assembly tasks.
• Set up and adjust tools, fixtures, and equipment as required to complete assembly operations.
• Measure and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools to ensure assemblies meet specified tolerances.
• Install, align, fasten, and secure mechanical components and hardware.
• Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
• Identify straightforward assembly problems and make appropriate adjustments or elevate issues to the supervisor.
