Job summary

Gordon Incorporated is seeking a production worker to perform tasks in producing company products, including painting, assembling parts, and packaging finished goods. The role requires reading routings, operating various machines, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area.

Essential duties include using measuring devices, reading a protractor, and adhering to LEAN practices. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by team leader.
• Sews, cuts, clips, hooks or assembles materials into sub-assemblies or finished product.
• Attach labels and tags to products and packages.
• Paint materials.
• Able to use measuring devices and read micrometers (to 1/64" / .001").
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Overtime and Saturdays may be required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 57 lbs.
• LEAN manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads routing and performs work as assigned by team leader.
• Assembles materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished products from raw materials.
• Label and package finished goods.
• Paint materials and prepare products for shipment.
• Notify supervisor of mechanical or material issues.
• Keep a clean and safe work area.
