Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a Production Operator / Floor Technician in Buffalo, NY. This contract, first-shift role offers opportunities to learn multiple production areas and gain hands-on technical skills while contributing to federal contract manufacturing.

Starting pay is $20+/hr with a pay range of $18.00–$22.00/hr and comprehensive benefits. This onsite position emphasizes safety, quality, and cross-training across departments, with long-term growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labor.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Work with specialized ceramic materials and manufactured components.
• Learn grinding, polishing, deburring, and finishing processes.
• Measure parts using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Operate production equipment and hand tools.
• Move materials throughout the facility.
• Cross-train in different manufacturing departments.
• Follow safety, quality, and production standards.
