Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join our Military Aircraft team. You will develop and optimize high‑precision machining processes, create CNC programs, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

This onsite role requires 3+ years CNC programming experience, a technical degree, and hands‑on machine setup. You’ll work with Siemens NX and CAD/CAM tools, support cost and timeline estimates, and help

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience.
3+ CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software.
Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product.
Hands‑on experience with machine setup and operation.
Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments.

Responsibilities

Create detailed operation sheets and CNC programs to produce high‑precision machined parts and sub‑assemblies.
Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production.
Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability.
Be hands‑on in the production environment, assisting with program prove‑outs and troubleshooting.
Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications.
Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development.
